the gold coast of Perak

yes...but for how long more ?

Not many people outside Perak have ever heard of much less visited this "best kept" secret of Manjung District , the once awesome beaches of the area north of Damai Laut, near Segari Lumut.

What used to be a truly fantastic piece of nature with golden sands and wide clean beaches stretching for miles has now taken on the looks of a sorry dumpsite . Notwithstanding what the sign here might want to say.

Both Teluk Senangin and Pasir Panjang, Segari ( where there is a turtle sanctuary and near the Lumut Power Plant ) is now dotted with rubbish and debri .

Luckily at this angle the beach still looks gorgeous with Pulau Pangkor at the background , and the little stall behind the signboard ( Teluk Senangin ) with 2 ladies can still whip up a Mee Goreng that will do even a Tourism Malaysian brochure proud.
.
We hope some people from Majlis Perbandaran Manjung can take notice of this impending tourism and ecological disaster before it goes out of control.
